Partnership in digital AI aquaculture technology transforms the shrimp farming industry in Vietnam
With Bosch AquaEasy, shrimps can talk to farmers to increase productivity, profitability, and sustainability

Binh Dinh, Vietnam – On 20^th July 2022, Viet-Uc Group, a leading aquaculture industry player in Vietnam and AquaEasy, a spin-off venture under Bosch's innovation hub grow, announced their official commercial partnership.

Under the partnership, Viet-Uc deploys AquaEasy solutions including: AI solutions, intelligent feeder (i-feeder^TM) and ShrimpTalk^TM in over 1000 shrimp ponds in their farms and their customers. With this partnership, Viet-Uc and AquaEasy set up a role model for the Shrimp Farmers in Vietnam applying smart solutions to increase productivity, profitability, and sustainability of Shrimp Farming Industry.

The Vietnamese shrimp industry is dominated by thousands of small family-run farms. It’s often a challenge for these farmers to demonstrate environmental sustainability through eco-certification or ratings programs because the current tools used to collect data, assess farm sustainability, and identify areas for improvement are often not well suited for small farms. Deputy Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development- Mr Phung Duc Tien mentioned, in 2021, Vietnam's shrimp industry will continue to face many difficulties and challenges such as drought, saltwater intrusion; unusual weather and climate, potential risks, the risk of disease outbreaks; developments of the Covid-19 epidemic and unpredictable international trade competition. Therefore, a healthy and sustainable Aquaculture in Vietnam requests special attention from all industry players.

Started in 2017, AquaEasy – a AI technology aquaculture solution – reduces manual labor and eliminate subjective assessments while improving yield, productivity and environmental sustainability in a commercial-intensive industry. Accurate, real-time data with alerts and recommendations with shrimps telling their status, displayed through a mobile app allows farm owners profitable harvests.
